Association for Creative Development Slap is a development oriented organisation, registered in the year 2000 as a non-governmental organisation. Slap is dedicated to promotion of eco-social economy values and practises being a leader in social enterprise in Croatia. Associations main office is in Osijek and the main goal is to create sustainable model of eco-social economy in the Slavonian region.
Slap also has an office in Zagreb which is working mainly on advocacy issues such as creation of the National Strategy for Social Enterprise Development, being active in Croatian Rural Development Network as one of the founding organisations and also coordinating the Social Enterprise Forum as a national advocacy network.
Slap has initiated and developed a network of resource centres for social enterprises – CEDRA.HR a cluster for eco-social development and innovation. CEDRA.HR has regional centres in Zagreb, Osijek, Split, Dubrovnik, Rijeka and Čakovec.
Association for Creative Development Slap has four main programmes that are a base for its existence. The first program is called “rural” whose prime purpose is to implement project that are based on creation of development and introduction of eco-social economy principles within rural areas. Moreover, Slap has opened a Sustainable Rural Development Centre in Erdut, serving as a educational and resource centre for eco-entrepreneurs and other rural development initiatives.
Second program is “turistica” whose purpose is to create supportive infrastructure for tourist service providers in the rural areas of Osijek-Baranja County. Slap is planning to open an on-line travel agency promoting and selling tourist packages offering sustainable, green, responsible tourist enterprises.
