SMART START Macedonia: “Lice v lice” expands its social value offer as a result of the Smart Start grant

Public" is the publisher of the “Face to face” street magazine – a magazine that elevates reading audience’ criteria by presenting various social topics, challenges and problems that Macedonians face with and on the other spread noble mission - economic and social strengthening of the marginalized groups. The sell is performed by youth on the street, homeless people, persons with disabilities and other representatives of vulnerable groups. They have extremely successful in their inclusion by making those active participants on the labor market.

With their experience of several years of work, they have realized that an additional impetus is needed to strengthen these inclusive and educational segments as well as to strengthen and extent the “Face to face” program and brand. Smart Start project was a great opportunity for it. Namely, “Public decided” to expand the offer and present to the customers something that will in line with their ongoing work, but will present a qualitative progress in their work.

They developed the “Face to face Sens” program.  It is about developing a concept that through the sale of designed notebooks, badges, bookmark, and cup mats – well packaged into a business model that solves social problems. In fact, the program is designed to create new added value in society both in terms of the social dimension, and environmental protection. The products are made of recycled paper, and they designed by the authors Vane Kosturanov and Zoran Inadeski. This activity is in line with their strategic goals for increased social inclusion of vulnerable groups, promotion of the eco system for social enterprises in the country, as well as profit that will be distributed and devoted to their mission for social inclusion of marginalized groups.

Zharmena Bozhinovska, the responsible for this program says that they aim in future at expansion of the sales network of our products on the Macedonian market as well as abroad. That is why they, in the upcoming period “Public” will be focused on the availability of their products by enabling online sale.
