SMART START SERBIA: Association Moms know how

"Moms know how" hold digital marketing workshops

Association "Moms know how" was established with the aim of promoting the business of women entrepreneurs and their linking at the local and regional level, exchange of ideas and skills, as well as acquiring competencies for successful internet operations.

Vladana and Mina won the Social Innovation Competition with their enthusiastic idea and received a grant of 3500 euros through the Smart Start regional project, which operates in Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Turkey and Bosnia and Herzegovina.

"We founded the association, because we were in a position to start our own business, and we needed trainings and digital skills to make our business a success," Vladana and Mina said. "

The whole idea came from workshops where we had the opportunity to connect women entrepreneurs, exchange knowledge and experience in the work, and together present the best hand-made products and authentic ones through Moms Market held every first weekend of the month, in the area of cafes 16, a social enterprise that provides training to former users of Svratšta.

So far, they have had the opportunity to meet, present and collaborate with over 100 female entrepreneurs and small businesses. They all have an important common trait: courage and readiness to acquire new knowledge.

"Our idea is to provide to women who have lost their jobs or have not had the opportunity to become employed in their professions, so they decided to start their small businesses, free training in digital marketing and basic business knowledge on the Internet." Trainings would enable entrepreneurs to develop and sustain business, and the basic form of financial inflow.

"Moms" hold digital marketing workshops with selected attendees every second week at the Human Rights House. Their goal is that once the project cycle is completed, they continue to work on the empowerment of women's entrepreneurship because they see the potential for employment of a large number of women.

Topics for which they train their students are diverse from the Rules of successful running of Facebook business, Copywriting - the basics of writing sales texts, SEO optimization, Basics of work in the WORDPRESS platform to bookkeeping tips for successful business.

After this program, entrepreneurs will be able to present their products through the site and to change content themselves, to better position themselves on the Internet, to better understand their target groups and to successfully conduct FB campaigns. Consequently, the scope of their work will increase, which will create the need for human resources support, which will enable the socially vulnerable groups and enable them to earn and integrate into society.
