Carrier: Association „Nova žena (Eng. New women)“
The project „Self-employment project of vulnerable women in rural areas through directed environmental impact“ is an original idea of self-employment of vulnerable women through focused environmental impact. The project beneficiaries, or unemployed women from rural parts in Semizovac will recycle waste from its surroundings and produce items from it for wide domestic use and sale – shopper bags, boxes, laundry baskets etc., all made or woven and stitched from recycled plastic bags and paper.
In this way, the project will represent a self-contained production unit with multiple benefits – for project beneficiaries and the wider community, as well as the natural environment. All household accessories that are produced through courses in sewing and weaving in the framework of the project is planning to be presented and offered for sale during the event „Vogošćanski dani“. The training program of sewing and weaving household accessories made of recycled materials will pass 30 women/girls who belong to vulnerable categories (unemployed women, single mothers, girls from families of high risk, etc.) aged 16-60 years.
